A TYPICAL CHAPTER...
There is no typical chapter! We have weekly chapter meetings from 8-9pm in room 2309 in the Art-Sociology Building. While our meeting place may stay the same, every chapter is different. Besides general announcements, chapter can include anything and everything from trivia nights, guest speakers, LSAT workshops, and more!
PAST EVENTS - HIGHLIGHTS
Puppies with PAD
As a fundraiser, our finance and community service chairs bring shelter dogs to campus as a fun-filled and stress-reliving event during midterm season. What's better than puppies?
Guest Speakers
At least two chapters per semester are devoted to guest speakers in the field of law. Our past speakers range from judges, to Library of Congress law librarians, to admissions personnel, government professors, and (of course) lawyers.
Mentor/Mentee
Every semester, mentor/mentee pairs get created to help new members become more acquainted with their fellow PAD members. Pairs are assigned after new members have accepted their invitation.
Dated & Formal
Once per semester our social, finance, and treasury personnel come together to plan two incredible evenings. Dated is a cocktail-attire event that takes place in March and October. Formal is a fancy (and free!) sit down dinner at a D.C. restaurant, and is the perfect cherry-on-top to end each semester.
Late Night Bake Sale
Each semester, PAD hosts a late night bake sale as a fundraiser. Proceeds can either go to our chapter or to our selected philanthropy for the semester.
